The Government of India has launched a solar power scheme to electrify one lakh un-electrified households in tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) areas. This initiative, under PM JANMAN and PM JUGA, will provide off-grid solar systems, enhancing energy access through solar home systems, Multi-Purpose Centres, and public institutions, with a budget of ₹915 crore.
