Toshiba releases a new photorelay which is 25% smaller than its existing one, which will help to miniaturize the battery unit and reduce costs. The minimum breakage voltage is 900V with a maxi-mum reaction time of 1 ms which will detect mechanical relay sticking and ground faults. The relay is designed in a way which will minimize energy consumption as the trigger current is more than 3 mA.
