The Netherlands is dividing two 2-GW offshore wind farm zones, IJmuiden Ver Gamma and Nederwiek I, into four 1-GW sites to lower financial risks for developers, as announced by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. This change follows a previous tender that attracted fewer bids than expected. The new sites will be tendered in autumn 2025.
